Tier 2 Sportsperson Visa

The following information is given in order to provide you with a generalised overview of the Tier 2 (Sportsperson) points based system. In order for a certificate of sponsorship to be issued, the sponsor will need to have obtained an endorsement for the migrant from the appropriate governing body for the migrants sport.

The endorsement must confirm the following:

That the migrant is intentionally established as a player or coach at the highest level, and
That the migrant will make a significant contribution to the development of their sport at the highest level in the UK, and
The post could not be filled by a suitable settled worker. If this criteria is met 50 points will be awarded
