The following information is given in order to provide you with a generalised overview of the Tier 2 (Intra-company transfer) points based system. If however you wish to obtain further information or you wish to engage our services, please complete the 'Contact Us Form' at the bottom of the page to enable a member of our team to contact you and advise you further. Tier 2 (Intra Company Transfers) are for migrants who have been working for multinational organisations and who are being transferred by an overseas employer to a related UK entity. There are 4 sub – categories within this route: - Long Term Staff – This category is used if you need to bring an existing employee to the UK for a period of more than 12 months, up to a maximum 60 months. The qualifying criteria for this sub - category are that the job the migrant will do must be at graduate level or above, and the salary for the job must be at least £40,000 per annum. If this criteria is met 50 points will be awarded.
- Short Term Staff – This category is used if you need to bring existing employees to the UK under the Tier 2 (ICT) for a maximum of 12 months. The qualifying criteria for this sub - category are that job the migrant will do must be at graduate level or above, and the salary for the job must be at least £24,000 per annum. If this criteria is met 50 points will be awarded. Under Long Term Staff and Short Term Staff they are both for established employees to be transferred to the UK to fill a post which cannot be filled by a settled worker. Migrants in these two categories must have been working for the organisation for at least 12 months.
- Graduate Training – This category allows multinational organisations to transfer recent graduate recruits to a UK branch of their organisation for the purpose of training. Migrants coming to the UK in this category must be coming to the UK as part of an accelerated, structured training programme with defined progression towards managerial or specialist role within the organisation. The job the migrant will be doing must be a graduate level and the salary for the job must be at least £24,000. Furthermore the migrant must have been employed outside of the UK by the sponsor for a minimum of three months. If this criteria is met 50 points will be awarded.
- Skills Transfer – This category allows migrants employed overseas to transfer to a UK branch of a multi-national organisation to acquire/impart the skills and knowledge needed to perform in their role overseas. The qualifying criteria for this sub-category are that the job the migrant will do must be at graduate level or above, and the salary for the job must be at least £24,000 per annum.
