The first monthly UK immigration allocation of restricted Tier 2 (General) certificates of sponsorship took place on 11 April 2011. All applications that met the restricted criteria were successful if 32 points were scored.

In order to obtain 32 points the resident labour market test must have been completed successfully and the salary banding must have been between £20,000 - £20,999.99. The total number of certificate of sponsorship for allocation for April was 4,200, however only 1,028 were granted, as a result of this for May 2011 the number of certificates of sponsorship that are available is 4,672.
