I responded to an advertisement for a receptionist advertised by GR Law and managed to acquire the perfect job with Somerville & Co in North Sydney. I wanted to work part time only, to develop a happy rapport with my fellow employees and be able to walk to work. I got all this, and more. The partners and management at Somerville & Co are very accommodating and have an enlightened attitude with regard to part-time employment. My role is a shared position and I’m pleased to say that this situation works very well for the two of us and for the company. The working environment is a happy and productive one and I am made to feel that I am a valued member of staff.

I went to see GR Law when I moved to Sydney to see if they could assist in finding a position for me in a legal firm. Which they did very quickly. I commenced working at Somerville & Co at the beginning of this year and have found it very easy to fit in with the rest of the team. Everybody here was welcoming towards me when I first started and have continued to be friendly and kind throughout my time of working here.
I think Somerville & Co is a great place to work as it is situated in a fantastic location in North Sydney and it has much to offer such as fun events like Karaoke night, Melbourne cup day and the Christmas party. They also put on Friday night drinks every Friday which is a great place to unwind from a week of work and get to know everybody better. Somerville & Co have allowed me to do two courses here, a two day word course and my certificate IV in Legal Services which I am still in the process of completing. Whenever I have needed help or support with this course, it has been no problem receiving this from numerous members of staff.
