Kebab House In West Yorkshire Has Been Found To Employ Illegal Workers

Total views: 2593 Seven illegal workers were recently arrested  following a raid by UK immigration officers at a kebab house in West Yorkshire. It  was found by the immigration officers, after questioning the employees at the kebab house, that 7  employees had either no valid leave to remain in the UK or they were allegedly violating the terms of their visa. Of the 7 that were arrested, 6 remain in detention for further questioning and arrangements are being made to try and remove them from the UK.

The employers at the kebab house were handed a civil penalty notice for employing 7 illegal workers worth a total of up to £70,000. If the kebab house is unable to prove the correct pre-employment checks were carried out on the employees, a fine of up to £10,000 per employee will be imposed.
