Working for a law firm requires specialist knowledge, training and expertise. You wouldn't find a corporate lawyer working as a litigation solicitor or as a legal secretary. Equally legal recruitment has a series of specialisms and at GR Legal Recruitment we have specialist recruiters for each of the following areas listed below.
We are experts in our field so whether you are seeking a legal secretarial job in London or a job as a lawyer in Australia you will be dealing with someone who only handles that area and has specific experience of the country in which you are seeking to work.
Legal recruitment in London has undergone significant changes in the last 18 months. Throughout London jobs have been decimated, both legal secretarial jobs and solicitor jobs. However, since the start of 2010 we have seen a general increase in recruitment activity with the number of legal jobs for solicitors, paralegals and secretarial staff improving month on month. Firms of solicitors and in house legal departments are still very specific in their recruitment requirements and solicitors who do not exactly meet the job specs are not considered. With the large number of solicitors who have either not been kept on or left London and many legal secretaries having found non legal secretarial jobs we anticipate an acute shortage of talent in London. Hopefully the prospects for newly qualified solicitors this September looks considerably brighter than for 2009.
